Do we need to employ a more democratic system of democracy?
ref #211
The next logical question in response to RFO http://humanopinion.org/node/210 ("Are we really living in a democratic society?") Well.... doesn't the government (or WE as the government is Supposed to represent the people) then need to employ a more democratic system instead of the partially democratic one which exists at the moment? ....see in-depth for more.

quite a valid point ... didn't someone once say "anyone with the desire to rule a country is clearly a mad egomaniac and shouldnt be allowed" ... I paraphrase but that was the general gist ...

Just not sure why we all assume democracy is the best option anyway...
Clearly some people are going to be better at ruling over a country than others, in the same way some people are better at musical instruments, and others at plumbing.
Also, people talk a lot about the moral degradation of the country, but then look at the people they hold responsible for this and decide they want them to have the vote and therefore (in theory at least) the run of the country. You can't simultaneously complain about a lack of moral standards in current society and want the people who are the problem to run the country.
